A Visit to Prague
14th-18th April , 2003

The Easter holiday, 2003, saw another of Jenn's online triumphs with a four-day break in Prague. Flying out on the Monday afternoon with Easyjet we enjoyed a very pleasant break in this city.

We stayed at the Zlata Hvezada hotel, situated just below St Vitus Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Not only was this very comfortable, they were also able to return our house keys to us as I managed to leave them in the room-safe at the end the our stay. Full marks to them.

Prague is certainly a city for walking. We spent the four days on foot and saw everything except the famous Jewish cemetery. Ignoring the fact that it was Passover, we omitted visiting it when it was open and of course then found it shut on the Thursday and Friday when we wanted to see it.

However, that aside, it was an excellent break and a city we would thoroughly recommend. It was probably aided by the fact that we enjoyed excellent weather until the 18th, when is turned bitterly cold.
